Art in the Park: Oil-sketching wattles

Join artist Charlene Wills for an introduction to oil-sketching in the surrounds of beautiful Belair National Park.

Join local artist Charlene Wills from Arts by Nature for an inspiring workshop that combines creativity with sustainability. In this hands-on session, Charlene will introduce you to the world of eco-friendly oil paints made from earth pigments. Discover how these natural materials can be used to create vibrant and sustainable artwork.

What to Expect:

  • Eco-Friendly Materials: Learn about the benefits of using earth pigments and eco-friendly oil paints in your artwork.
  • Brush Techniques: Explore a variety of brush techniques to enhance your painting skills and texture.
  • Guided Creation: Charlene will provide step-by-step guidance as you create your own beautiful oil sketch of Australia's national flower, the wattle, which you’ll be able to take home as a unique piece of art.

This activity is free but booking is essential. Vehicle entry is free for participants at this nature festival event, but you need to provide your vehicle registration plate number when completing checkout. Please let the NPWS at the ticket booth that you are attending the event when entering the park.
